Last week Aubrey Ann chose the book “The Little Engine That Could” to bring home from the library. You may remember the books famous line, “I think I can, I think I can!” Aubrey Ann loves the book.

Tonight at dinner I had steamed some baby carrots, and there was one carrot that was thicker than the rest, so it was a bit tough and rubbery on the inside. Aubrey Ann picked up the carrot and spent a minute trying to bite her way through it. After I saw that she was really struggling, I told her, “It is ok Aubrey Ann, that one just looks too tough.” She looked me right in the eyes and said, “I think I can, I think I can!”

And guess what, a few piranha bites later, she did!
